Phil Evans
Chair
Prior to retiring to the Devon coast Phil was a Senior IT and Programme Manager in the City of London for over twenty years. He has managed the successful delivery of large scale projects and contracts using both IT and non-IT solutions. He has developed strong HR skills including the development of systems managing teams of over 250 employees including objective setting, performance reviews and personal development plans. Although his work experience was mostly in the finance sector of the City he has also supported and worked with local community and voluntary groups in East London for many years. He has brought these strengths to his position as trustee and Chair of the board of trustees for Working Well.
In his leisure team Phil is a keen cook with a preference for local fresh produce and an absolute determination that nothing should be wasted. Phil likes to swim, in the sea whenever it’s safe, and also likes to walk.
Caroline Atkinson
With almost 10 years’ experience working in Corporate Social Responsibility, in both the corporate and charity sectors, Caroline is a CSR Manager for Societe Generale, managing volunteering programmes and partnerships for the bank. She joined the WWT board as a trustee in February 2020, keen to learn about the operations of a small charity, while offering her relevant skills and knowledge. As a Mental Health First Aider, the objectives of the Trust align to a personal interest in the mental health agenda. In her spare time, Caroline looks after her own mental health through a love of the outdoors and adventure (namely bivvying under the stars), sports, cooking (and eating) and socialising.
Bridget McCarthy
Worked extensively in Tower Hamlets as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and headed the Psychology Department, she also worked in Newham and Hackney. Brigid now acts as consultant to the health and business sectors on all aspects of mental health with a specialism in organisational consultancy. She has been a trustee for over twenty years and was instrumental in the development of the first Working Well projects.
Ollie Brothwood
Victoria Derkach
Victoria Derkach joined Working Well Trust in February 2019 as a trustee. She wants to make a difference and is keen on human psychology and life coaching. Having spent a decade in the corporate world, she believes that mental health in the workplace is a topic that requires more attention and education. Her objective is to share her commercial background and strategic thinking to contribute to WWT growth and scalability to support even more people in need of the service.
Her background is in private client asset management. Where her aim is to simplify life’s financial challenges for her clients and attract new funds to the bank. In her current role as a Senior Investment Advisor at Kleinwort Hambros (part of Societe Generale group) she is looking after assets of private individuals, charities and foundations. Before joining KH, she spent 6 years at Citi Group in a similar role for the international market. Victoria started her financial career in the FinTech in sales and account management, advising financial institutions and working alongside senior management at major Investment Banks and Asset Managers.
Julia Ingall
With over 20 years focusing on all things People, Culture and Talent, across a number of sectors and businesses, I am passionate about the world of work and have a desire to ensure that work provides fulfilment, energy, connection and self-esteem.
The WWT is key to improving the lives of persons who experience mental health challenges and are neurodiverse into employment. I am delighted to be a Trustee focusing on this mission.
Martin Bould
Martin began work in the voluntary with community transport and dial-a-ride, moving to the Kings Fund and then the NHS, before a decade as a management consultant specialising in mental health. He was a senior joint commissioner in Tower Hamlets to 2018.Now semi-retired, he enjoys walking, reading poetry and history, voluntary work and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Philip Stitson
Phil is a programme manager and change governance specialist working in the City of London. He has worked at a large international bank for the last 18 years and, since 2007, Phil has been involved in volunteering with different groups in East London through the partnerships his employer has developed and for the last few years has been a member of that firm’s Community Impact governance board in the UK – experiences that equip him well as a trustee of Working Well Trust.
Phil is a Christian and plays an active role in his church but beyond this his wide range of interests make him a formidable pub-quizzer. Phil lives with his wife and daughters in their rather ramshackle cottage in Kent, trying to keep on top of DIY and the garden.
Neil Lukha
Neil is a chartered accountant with over 10 years’ experience in Finance initially in Practice and more recently in Industry. His experience spans Audit, Corporate Finance and M&A. Through his experience Neil brings a commercial and practical approach to decision making to his role as Trustee as well as providing financial insight and governance.
In his spare time, Neil enjoys sports (football, tennis and cricket), travelling and cooking.
